Board of DirectorsWhen China Partner was founded, it was determined that to best partner with God in service to the Church in China, it would be wise to have a Board of Directors oversee the ministry. Therefore, a group of leaders from the evangelical community who were active in ministry and/or engaged in the private sector were asked to serve on a rotating basis as board members. As positions on the board have opened over the years, the sitting board and president enter into dialogue about and with potential members, striving to maintain diversity amongst the board in regard to gender, experience, career, western vs. Chinese, etc. China Partner has a Board of Directors in each of the nations in which it has incorporated, with overall guidance being provided by the president and the U.S. Board of Directors. Representatives from each board gather every 2-3 years in China for International Council meetings to evaluate ministry effectiveness and discuss new ways of serving the Church in China. The U.S. Board of Directors meets together twice a year to review and plan the ministry’s activities and finances. Individual members also provide input and assistance throughout the year.
The U.S. Board of Directors presently includes…

Council of AdvisorsIn addition to a board of directors, the staff of China Partner also have chosen to maintain a council of advisors. While these individuals hold no official authority within the organization, their experience and knowledge related to the ministry’s efforts offers a wealth of support and insight to the staff, in particular the president. This council consists of some former board members, individuals serving with other ministries, persons with extensive China and/or international experience, etc.
